I see clients from all over the world, online, and local clients from my clinics in Hythe and Folkestone in Kent, and online.

I also do walk and talk sessions in Folkestone, including some Saturday mornings.

Thre is parking nearby in Waitrose (a five minute walk) in Hythe where you can park for up to two hours as long as you buy something.

Likewise, at my Folkestone clinic there is a public car park nearby, or supermarket parking in Asda and Sainsburys.

I always suggest clients regularly check this with Waitrose and the other supermarkets in case anything changes.

Sessions are a full 60 minutes.

Yes, I see people online via Zoom or WhatsApp video, and this can be very effective. Please contact me for details.

I cannot tell you exactly how long that will be. However, the beauty of The Human Givens approach is that it aims to get you feeling better as soon as possible so therapy is not prolonged.

Yes, The Human Givens has a very effective treatment, the Rewind technique, which is used for trauma. Read more about the Rewind technique here. We use the Rewind technique because it is very safe, very quick and you don’t have to tell your therapist the details of what happened if you don’t want to – it’s not necessary for the treatment.

Our focus is on today and the future. If things come up that are relevant to what’s going on right now we will, of course, look at them. Deeper issues will almost always involve some look at the past.

Yes. The Human Givens is all about practical actions that can help you feel better as soon as possible. I will be sharing tools, exercises, resources and stories to do this.

Yes, we will agree on task/s that will move your progress forward between sessions. Reporting back on that is part of your therapy.

Therapy can produce a whole mixture of emotions, but many sessions end with what we call a Guided Visualisation. This can be very therapeutic and relaxing, and it will also teach you tools that you can use in between sessions to calm yourself, or help you to sleep.

Of course, but they would have to agree to working with me too.

Yes, I do. Again, missing needs can trigger a relapse so we will be looking at these, as well as what else might be going on in your life right now.

Yes, I have a number of mental health workshops I deliver to businesses, universities, colleges and apprenticeship providers.

I don’t do family counselling.

I have diploma in psychotherapy with The Human Givens. The Human Givens Institute is accredited by the Professional Standards Association (PSA), the same body that governs BACP.

I am also a business psychologist (Masters), and a qualified coach, having trained with the ICF recognised Animas.

I am fully insured, in clinical supervision, and have an enhanced DBS status. I talk part in regular CPD which includes online courses, in person workshops, books and other methods of study.
